Star Trek
October 2005

Yes it was time for the Galileo7 Star Trek convention again, and this year I could go! It was lots of fun, with lots of interesting actors on stage. This year William Shatner (Captain Kirk) were supposed to come, but he didn't since he got offered more money from another convention in the UK. Instead Jonathan Frakes replaced him, and in my opinion that was a better choice, since I've never been a big fan of Shatner anyway. Jonathan Frakes were loads of fun on the stage, and managed to make us laugh a lot!

I have a few pictures from the different panels here. Unfortunately not as many as I use to, since my digital camera had a run in with a bottle of soda and refused to work again after that.

As always I did buy a few autographed pictures, which I have posted here.

On this site I found a pretty good review of some of the panels at the convention, so if you feel like reading it, head over there.

I am, as some of you might know, quite a fan of Star Trek, and have been for quite a few years. So a couple of years ago, I joined the Danish Star Trek club named I've made some very good friend in the local chapter of the group, and have become very active in it as well.

In the beginning of 2004, those of us that arranged the meetings for here in my town, stopped doing that, to start our own local Star Trek and Sci Fi club, Trekkers, which was met with a lot of success, and we are still going strong, and have lots of fun doing it.

At my first Star Trek convention, I started to collect autographed pictures of the actors from Star Trek. Unfortunately I couldn't afford going to the convention in Germany this year, but my friends was nice enough to buy some autographed pictures for me when they went. It's possible to see all my autographed pictures here: The Loot

From 2003

From different people I've kept hearing about how much fun it is to go to Star Trek Conventions. So I joined 5 of my friends, and went to my first Convention on October 3rd to 5th 2003. The convention is named Galileo7, and are taking place each year in Germany, about 800 km (500 miles) from my home city.

As usual I brought my camera with me, and took a lot of pictures, which you can see in the Galileo7 section. One of my friends also brought his camera, and was kind enough to share his pictures with me, so I'll be posting some of those as well.

I hope you'll enjoy "joining me" at the convention, while you're looking at the pictures.
